ARK: Survival Evolve Adds Dinosaurs With Laser Helmets

Dinosaurs with laser helmets are just the tip of the iceberg with ARK: Survival Evolved’s new series of updates.

The latest update for ARK: Survival Evolved, the open-world freeform multiplayer game adds some new techno gadgets to the wildlife. This TEK Tier update will add dinosaurs with helmets that shoot laser beams. To get these new gadgets, you’ll need to craft them yourself and arm your tamed dinosaurs with them.

According to the developer, the update will be released in parts, with the first one coming out really soon. The first of hopefully many updates will add Tek armor, rifle, and the Giga Helmet, which is basically a headpiece with a mounted laser cannon.

The Tek armor has a helmet, which you can wear to highlight creatures and other players. It’ll determine whether they’re friendly, neutral or hostile based on color. There’s also Tek gear for night vision, power gauntlets, and a chestpiece that gives you a jetpack. Mechanized leggings let you run faster.

Each of these items will require endgame resources to craft, so expect to put in a lot of hard work to get what you want.

The Tek Tier update will continue early next year with the release of aquatic bases.
