According to Square Enix, Quantum Conundrum will be getting two DLC packs before the end of July. The first-person puzzler was created by Kim Swift, the lead designer on Portal, and has brought a touch of childish wonder to the genre. With glowing reviews on all ends – Gameranx included – gamers have been patiently waiting for the promised DLC, and our prayers will soon be answered.
The Desmond Debacle will be released July 31 on Steam, August 14 on the PlayStation Network, and August 15 on Xbox Live Arcade for $2.99. This pack will open a new section of the Quadwrangle Manor full of puzzles focused on the bird Desmond.
In IKE-aramba! players have to save the furry little troublemaker IKE (Interdimensional Kinetic Entity) in a new wing of the manor. The second DLC is set to drop on August 28 on Steam, September 11 on PSN, and September 13 on XBLA, also for $2.99.
With the ability to simply create and open new wings of the mansion, Quantum Conundrum is set to expand the game as developer Airtight Games originally promised.
