If you’re anything like me, you use your phone constantly. I often find myself down to only 50% battery within 2 hours of waking up, and sometimes it can be a struggle to find an outlet to charge my phone back up.
Enter the “Braven BBRV Rugged Backup Battery”, a water-resistant battery pack made to withstand the elements and charge your device wherever you are. Now, I am not someone who frequently spends his time outdoors, but I am incredibly clumsy. On average, I drop my phone at least 10 times a day, and my battery pack is no different. Thankfully, when I somehow miss my pocket or the table, the BBRV comes away without a scratch (the same cannot be said, however, for my incredibly cracked phone).
The other neat thing about this pack is the bluetooth connectivity. You can monitor and control battery levels from a neat little app on your phone. Now, personally I don’t like using an app to monitor things (I didn’t really find much use for it, honestly), but I can appreciate what they put together.
All-in-all this battery pack definitely gets the job done, but the price point could drive customers away. It currently sells for $99.99 on Amazon, a price that makes the BBRV only worth it for people who will make use of the enhanced durability.
