If you want to relive the days of fantastic soundtracks, grinds, Bucky Lasek, and spelling out S-K-A-T-E, the HD version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is definitely for you. Now available on the Xbox Live Arcade, this remake includes the first Pro Skater title as well as THPS2. In this launch trailer, you get a chance to see all the shiny new models and animations that will leave you saying "DAT POLY COUNT."
You'll visit all of the memorable levels you have boarded before as Activision attempts to transport you back to high school. Don't be surprised if you find yourself shouting at your mom to bring you some snacks.
A solid portion of this launch trailer is dedicated to showing off the addition of manuals. Don't get me wrong, I need manuals to rack up my score, but part of me feels like this is cheating on Neversoft. I never had the luxury of the ever-simple manual to connect tricks, but here it is, in full force, giving me the opportunity for million-point combos.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD is currently available on XBLA for 1200 Microsoft Points – $15 in real money.
