The pre-load for Skyrim: Special Edition has just gone live for anyone who owns the original game plus its DLC on Steam. If you’ve previously purchased the Legendary Edition for Skyrim, you’ll get it too. It’s free, by the way.
You can now download the game ahead of its October 28 release, so be sure to free up some space and get that download going before it launches.
Valve says that not everyone will have the download available to them right away due to the number of people who own the game, but that they’re working to make sure everyone who owns it is able to pre-load it within 24 hours from now.
Anyone who purchases the game now (and doesn’t already own it) will gain access in a series of batches leading up to the game’s release due to high volume.
Skyrim: Special Edition comes out on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on October 28.
