Niantic has launched another new update for Pokemon Go. As announced on the game’s website, this update adds new egg patterns and notifications features in addition to other things.

The patterns on the eggs will vary depending on the walking distance that is required to hatch then. 2 km is green, 5 km is yellow, and 10 km is purple.

In addition, each Pokemon’s info screen has been update to include Pokemon type icons, and the game will not alert you to when the Pokemon Go Plus battery gets low. The update also adds minor text fixes, but specifics on that were not mentioned by Niantic.

The official patch notes are detailed below:

Pokemon Go October 23 Patch Notes

  • Professor Willow discovered that Eggs have different patterns depending on the distance required to hatch them.
  • Pokemon type icons have been added to the information screen for each Pokemon.
  • Low battery indicator added for the Pokemon GO Plus.
  • Minor text fixes

Niantic has also introduced the game’s first ever in-game event for Halloween. Which you can read more about here.
