After nearly a decade of development the highly anticipated video game, The Last Guardian, has officially gone gold. This has been a massive week for gamers not only were we given the first official unveiling of Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Nintendo Switch, but it was also confirmed that Rockstar will be releasing Red Dead Redemption 2. To top it off, finally seeing The Last Guardian go gold has really made this a fantastic week of game industry news.
The Last Guardian has had its fair share of issues since its announcement. Now a tweet from PlayStation boss Shuhei Yoshida has revealed that the video game is finally gold. That means there is no more delays or development time that is needed to go into the production of The Last Guardian. Instead, the title is getting pressed onto discs and will soon be making its way into the market.
I’ve waited a very long time to say this… The Last Guardian has gone gold! I’m so excited for you all to finally experience it ˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖

Gamers can finally get their hands on a copy of the game, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 4, this December 6, 2016. Overall the video game follows a young boy and a giant griffin as they both rely on each other during their escape from an old expansive castle.
For gamers who enjoyed Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian is one title they will not want to miss out on.
