Ubisoft has just put out a new video for Assassin’s Creed III Liberation, a companion title to Assassin’s Creed III for the PlayStation Vita. The new trailer offers a sneak peak at the game’s visceral third person combat and an all new environment for the game. The game’s trailer is set to Bat for Lashes’ Glass.
Described as the “most ambitious Assassin’s Creed offering on a handheld device”, Liberation will include key aspects of the franchise, including combat that tests your reflexes, free-roaming navigation and traversal, and a proper storyline that isn’t more than just a side mission for one of the game’s main protagonists.
In Liberation, you’ll play as the series’ first ever female protagonist, Aveline, a woman of color. She also happens to share the same name with another strong female character from BioWare’s Dragon Age series. Described as a “woman of conviction,” Aveline fights for freedom in 18th century New Orleans, a city on the brink of rebellion against the Spanish Empire.
Assassin’s Creed III Liberation will be released on October 30, 2012.
