Last month, Stunlock Studios introduced their Battlerite arena brawler title to the public. It’s a top-down shooter where you participate in 2v2 and 3v3 match-ups, picking from a cast of Champion characters to use in battle. The focus of it is shooting with skill and proper timing, knowing when it’s the best time to strike, but the Battlerite system itself gives the player special powers to use in battle. Tomorrow, they’re releasing a new update that has new champions, mounts, a new arena, and festive Halloween season content for a limited time.
The biggest point of interest here is the fact that two new champions are being added to the game. Jumong The Beast Hunter is an experienced man of the wild, using traps to ensnare his enemies before finishing them off with his bow. Ruh Kaan the Crypt Warden came to the Arena after chasing down a grave robber that violated some sacred crypts, and he uses his dark powers to consume the souls of his opponents. But tomorrow, up until Halloween, Battlerite is throwing a Halloween party of it’s own. Spooky avatars, satanic mounts, and Halloween weapons are in store for the community, alongside a 10% Steal Sales discount. If you wanted to know what else you can expect from this Patch 0.8: Matchmaking Improvements (Standard and Ranked queues have been added), a new map called Blackstone Arena – Night is coming, along with some polish and gameplay fixes to make sure the experience is as smooth as possible.
Battlerite is available on PC via Steam Early Access, with the next update arriving tomorrow on October 21st. To learn more about the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
