There are plenty of gamers that have been eagerly awaiting the release of Beyond Good & Evil’s sequel. Much like other famed titles such as The Last Guardian and Half-Life 3, the sequel to Beyond Good & Evil has been one that’s evaded gamers for years. Now as news came out teasing and revealing a new title was in the works under the Beyond Good & Evil franchise, this may end up not being the sequel fans might have been hoping for.
New reports that came from Let’s Play Video Games suggest that they have a source connected to the project. From their source, it was stated that the current Beyond Good & Evil IP in development is not directly a sequel or even a prequel. Instead, this will be a semi-reboot of the video game which would give a bit more story to some of the featured characters.
More importantly, it was stated that the ending of this upcoming Beyond Good & Evil video game from Ubisoft would also have an extended ending, though it’s unknown if the title would also end with a cliffhanger to lead for future installments. Lastly, it was stated that this will be a Nintendo NX exclusive video game title which would be revealed more with a trailer during the Nintendo NX grand reveal.
Regardless of the sources information, this new installment to Beyond Good & Evil may let quite a few gamers down while gaining attention to gamers who may have missed their chance to enjoy the first title as it released. We, of course, urge gamers to take this news as purely being rumored until any official statements are released.
