Edmund McMillen Announces The Basement Collection

July 8, 2012 by Lana Polansky

The Steam package boasts a long list of content.

Edmund McMillen, one half of Team Meat, the developer responsible for the uber-hit, uber-hard Super Meat Boy and roguelike The Binding of Isaac, has announced The Basement Collection on his blog, EdmundM.com.

The Basement Collection, set for release in late August, will cost four dollars on Steam and will include a ton of cool content, including Spewer, the Flash prototype for Meat Boy, Time Fcuk, Grey Matter, Triachnid, Coil, Aether and a "Secret Game." Many of these games, like Grey Matter and Coil, contain new content and achievements. The collection also features a bunch of bonus content, like development sketches and tech demos.

And if you thought it was done, there's even more content. From the blog,

"The basement collection will also feature 4 very large bonus unlockables that should make fans of my work quite happy.

And on top of all this the collection will also come with a free soundtrack with bonus remixes by indie darlings and fans! (more on this later)."
