The Trailer for E-One Studio’s Hoodwink Offers Hijinks, Tigers in Suits

July 8, 2012 by Lana Polansky

And an appropriate use of fedoras.

Malaysia's E-One Studio presents Hoodwink, an odd, Film Noir-inspired, cel-shaded, point-and-click adventure, telling the tale of a small-time thief (described on the game's Origin page as an "acquisitions expert") named Michael Bezzle, looking to steal the heart of his true love (Francesca Jones).

Of course, he has to endure such frustrations as killer plants and being hunted by an anthropomorphic, flatfoot tiger slightly reminiscent of Tekken's King, but in suspenders.

Admittedly, this looks like a well-polished indie title, and looks to be worth giving a chance. This is also E-One Studio's first point-and-click, which makes the game seem all-the-more impressive. It'd be a shame for something like this to miss out on some spotlight.

The game is available now on Origin for $14.99.
