Disney Builds Fake Wreck-It Ralph Arcade Cabinet

July 6, 2012 by Lana Polansky

And it’s amazing.

If you haven't seen the trailer for Disney's videogame love-letter, you really should. (And play the game while you're at it.)

While Disney was at it, their E3 display featured, among other things, a non-functional Wreck-It Ralph arcade cabinet showing off the (not entirely) fictional game, Fix-It Felix Jr., a meticulously detailed take on Nintendo's Donkey Kong. The monitor even featured a sign which asked "arcade collectors" to help Disney track down a functional model of the fake game.

Disney has put a lot of detail into the upcoming film, including teaming up with publishers to immortalize beloved videogame characters on film (including Street Fighter's M. Bison and Bowser from the Mario universe, among others) many of which are viewable in the trailer linked above.
