Dark Horse Reveals Darksiders 2: Death’s Door Comic

Dark Horse Comics is now offering a Darksiders II comic that features Death and it's even a canonical intro to the game itself.

Titled Darksiders II: Death's Door #1, the comic's premise state Death is on a mission to slay a rogue demon, but first he must acquire a replacement for his scythe, which he's forbidden to use on Earth without permission. Death then strikes an underworld deal…a leviathan's tongue for a new weapon.

If that's not enough to whet your appetite, the comic book is created in consultation with Darksiders universe creator and comic scribe Joe Madureira. 

In addition, if you pre-order Darksiders II at Best Buy, you'll get issue #0 featuring cover art by Madureira and it will even include an original story, to boot! If you want to read this before playing the game, I suggest hopping on over to Dark Horse's digital store as it's being sold exclusively there for the time being.

Darksiders II is being developed by Vigil Games and is set for an August 14 release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
