Not to be outdone by Activision's massive Call of Duty DLCs sale, EA is now holding its own Fourth of July sale for Battlefield 3 Premium on Origin.
First up, buy Battlefield 3 Premium for $49.99 and you have a choice of getting the 2010 Medal of Honor reboot, Dead Space 1, or Battlefield 3's Vehicle Shortcut Bundle, which will unlock all vehicle specializations immediately.
If that's not your cup of tea, then you can also opt to buy the "Premium Bundle," which will include Battlefield 3 Premium along with the Ultimate Shortcut Bundle. This Shortcut Bundle will unlock all weapons, gadgets, soldier and vehicle specs. Normally, it's priced at $89.99 but it's now listed with a 20 percent reduction, so it's $69.99 for the time being.
Lastly, if you've yet to buy Battlefield 3, then this might entice you to take the plunge. EA is offering a bundled price of $99.99 for Battlefield 3, Battlefield 3 Premium and the Ultimate Shorcut Bundle. It would normally cost you $149.97 to get all three.
If you're interested in nabbing this, better hurry up as the sale only lasts until July 10, 10 a.m. PDT. Oh, and it's only valid for US and Canada, too.
Now, I don't know about you, but the free game seems like the obvious choice here. Isn't part of what makes playing shooters fun is leveling up? I mean, there's a reason why developers dangle that meta-game morphine drip on FPS fans. Wouldn't this shortcut bundle take out all the fun in that?
Whatever your preferred military FPS is, it seems both EA and Activision has you covered. Now get out there and celebrate Independence Day by fragging some fools!
