While Battlefield 3 is conducting its Double XP event already (a whole week for BF3 Premium members), don't think for a second that its main competitor — the Call of Duty franchise — will be getting left behind.
On the contrary, both Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 are joining in the festivities.
In line with the Call of Duty DLCs sale, both games will — oddly enough — see a Double XP event happen at the same time this coming weekend.
In saying that, Modern Warfare 3 will have a bit of an advantage as Infinity Ward has confirmed (via Twitter) that they're also conducting a Double XP event for the Fourth of July holiday; but it will be for one day only. After that, you need to wait until the weekend before you can double up on MW3 again.
For Black Ops, Treyarch has announced that the event will take start this coming Friday, 10 a.m PST and will last until Monday, 10 a.m. PST.
So, there's a DLC sale and Double XP event for both games. The question is, which Call of Duty game will you be playing?
