As the release date for Monster Hunter 4 approaches, Capcom has begun to put out a steady flow of information about the game.
One of the new things we've learned about the upcoming title is that water levels are being removed, presumably because everyone hates water levels regardless of the game they're in. Instead of water levels, Monster Hunter 4 will offer a wider variety hard terrain for players to traverse and do battle with monsters.
Monster Hunter 4 sees the inclusion of two supporting characters, or Felynes. You'll also be able to set up camp anywhere you like instead of being forced to visit predetermined locations to rest.
Finally, combat is getting a complete overhaul. You'll be able to grapple monsters, use jump attacks, and perform a host of special moves. The camera, which was previously locked, has been replaced with a free camera for better gameplay.
Monster Hunter 4 will be out for the Nintendo 3DS next year.
