Dead Space, Metal Gear, Duke Nukem Immortalized in Statue Form

July 3, 2012 by Jen Shaffer

They aren’t dolls, Mom, they are figurines!

Sideshow Collectibles has launched incredibly detailed statues from three very different games. Dead Space's Isaac Clarke, Naked Snake from Metal Gear Solid, and Duke Nukem are represented in polystone form. The statues are incredibly detailed, epitomizing what each character means for their respective franchises.

The Isaac Clarke statue will be limited to 500 created and is priced at $274.99. He stands at 16 inches tall, lording over a gory necromorph corpse. If the intense detail doesn't rope you in, Clarke's helmet lights up in that creepy glow that reminds gamers of the Dead Space franchise. The statue is initially armed with a plasma cutter but also comes with a ripper saw for alternate displays. Units will be shipping later this month.

Naked Snake looks as though he was plucked right from Metal Gear Solid 3. He's a fully posable figure, with over 30 points of articulation – one of my favorite phrases – so you can reenact any of your favorite scenes with painstaking attention to detail.

Snake comes fully equipped with the following massive list of extras to completely customize your statue:

– A pair of fists

– A pair of hands for gun holding

– A left palm for holding knife

– A left palm for holding grenade

– A pair of black boots with tapes on right side

– One machine gun

– One rifle

– One EZ gun

– One pistol with suppressor

– One CQC knife with case

– One survival knife with case

– Three grenades

– One set of binoculars

– One ration

This statue is slated as limited edition, but lacks an exact number of units being created. Naked Snake stands 12 inches tall and comes with his own stand including the game logo. This statue is priced at $214.99 and will be released December 2012.

Lastly, we've got the Duke. Slated for a release in April 2013, this statue will be limited to a set number, but no details have surfaced just yet. For $299.99, you can have an immortalized version of the Duke standing tall over a dead alien. Wielding a gold pistol and shrink-ray gun, the 16 inch statue perfectly captures the Duke's F%&@-you attitude.

Each statue is available for preorder via the Sideshow Collectibles site and also offer the option for a monthly payment plan in place of a single payment.
