GOG pulled out the big guns for the weekend, maybe just to see if you are still paying attention. If you missed out on the first eleven days, let me break it down for you. Each day, GOG puts up two titles that go head to head in a vote and gamers have the chance to determine which title will receive the heaviest discount. The winner gets a 60% discount and the runner-up reduces in price by 40%, then they do it all over again. This sale lasts for 17 days, but each game is only discounted for a 24 hour period.
Finding ourselves smack dab in the middle of Day Twelve, voters decided that The Whispered World should win out over Trine. Even with a considerable amount of backlash and calls for recounts, I think the outcome makes sense. Most people probably own Trine in some capacity, but The Whispered World is still lurking in the shadows.
Discounted prices are listed below:
The Whispered World – $5.99
Trine – $5.99
The newest titles going head-to-head are Two Worlds and The Witcher. Both are well known titles and are only separated by about 500 votes, so log in and make your vote count! And remember, deals end/begin at 9am EST during the sale.
