When Pokemon Go first released into the market, the video game became a massive phenomenon. Everyone, old and young, has quickly downloaded the application to catch them all all over again. While most gamers and especially the developers are overjoyed with the video game’s success, there have been those which are dealing a variety of problems caused by the application release.

The development team behind the successful Pokemon Go application, Niantic, is being taken to court by the Netherlands. Since the application released, the Netherlands government has been dealing with rowdy players who have been damaging beaches of Kijkduin, which has been a protected dunes area, according to The Guardian.

Instead of taking things to court, the Netherlands officials have reached out to the development team in order to request that Pokemon will not spawn within the location between 11:00PM and 7:00AM which seems reasonable. In the past, Niantic has worked with areas and locations to keep players from disrupting others such as memorial areas, however, the developers have failed to respond to the requests made by officials within the Netherlands.

While attempting to keep things civil out of court, the Netherlands are forced into going to court in order to request the developers adjust their spawn rates in the protected dunes area. Since this issue has gone into court, there’s a good chance that Niantic will be reaching out to the officials before their court date which is set for October 11, 2016.
