If you’re having trouble downloading or preloading games from Windows Store, you’ll want to pick up the newest update for Windows 10. It’s designed to fix any issues people have been running into with their downloads for ReCore, Forza Horizon 3 and the upcoming Gears of War 4.
UPdate KB3194496 should fix downloads from restarting from the beginning whenever an error is encountered and will instead resume them. It can be a real pain to download 50 gigabytes out of a 74gb download only to have the whole thing restart.
It’s recommended that you pick up the new update if you intend to preload the upcoming Gears of War 4, which is 74gb in size.
To download the new update, head over to Windows Settings > Update and Security > Check for Updates. It may take some time to install, so sit back and relax and make sure it isn’t interrupting any work that you’re doing.
Once it’s updated, your Windows 10 build should read version 1607 build 14393.222. You can check what version you’re running by hitting Start and typing “winver” without the quotes.
