The Silent Hill HD Collection is still a mess of glitches and problems despite a few months' worth of waiting on behalf of dedicated fans. We know why the problems were there, and it's understandable but still no excuse over the lack of polish. A patch was released that managed to fix very little and people still want to experience Silent Hill 2 and 3 again without issue (and this is without any mention of Downpour).
The patches for both the HD Collection and Downpour are still on their way, with a confirmation of that from producer Tomm Hulett in an interview with Rely On Horror.
“The HD Collection patch is coming along pretty well," he said," so you should look forward to that soon. The Downpour patch is being worked on; so you should get the HD Collection one first.”
So it's not exactly a specific, but they're obviously giving things a pretty big overhaul and, from what I've been told, it needs it.
