Just days after Michel Ancel first posted what appeared to be concept art for Beyond Good & Evil 2, he’s done it again. Ancel took to Instagram today and posted a picture of a shark man along with the words “Ready for the fight” independence #ubisoft day.
The artwork this time around is in much higher detail than the previous image, and looks to be an in-engine render. As you may recall, there were shark men in the first game.
In case you’re wondering, “independence #ubisoft day” is a reference to the big shareholder meeting Ubisoft is having today, where many are expecting Vivendi to make a bid on the company and assume ownership of the gaming publisher. The media giant has been purchasing shares of Ubisoft over the past few months and is attempting a hostile takeover.
