Deus Ex: Mankind Divided’s first story-based DLC, System Rift, is now available across the PC, Xbox One and PS4 platforms. It’s the first of several story DLCs planned for the game.
In the new DLC, players will once again resume their role as the series’ hero Adam Jensen as he reunites with Frank Pritchard, his former colleague at Sarif Industries. His task this time around is to hunt down information about the mysterious Santeau Group, and in doing so help Pritchard to hack one of the most secure databanks ever created, the Palisade Blade.
Anyone who’s played through Mankind Divided’s Breach Mode will be familiar with the context, as all of the stories within Breach take place in virtual space within the Palisade Blade servers.
Adam will further his investigation into the mysterious illuminati as he uncovers the secrets locked within the servers.
In addition to the new DLC, Square Enix is also releasing a free Pritchard-inspired updated for Deus Ex GO that runs from September 25 to October 2, with players taking on the role of Pritchard himself as part of the weekly Live Puzzles updates. The challenges are designed to test anyone who’s already beaten the game, so expect them to be really difficult.
