September 22, 2016 by Kris Kittie

A new blog post on Titanfall 2’s website lays out the minimum and recommended system specs for Titanfall 2 on PC, along with many of the great graphics options will be available for it.  Respawn opted not to provide the absolute baseline for what would run the game, instead suggesting minimum specs that will provide what seems like a pretty solid experience.

“In the past minimum specs were literally the minimum bar to launch the game–your experience once in the game was probably not going to be ideal,” reads the post from producer Drew McCoy. “Our goal for minimum PC specs on Titanfall 2 is that you can play at a 1600×900 resolution with most details turned on and average around 60 FPS.

“We strongly believe that if you at least match the posted requirements you should have an excellent visual and gameplay experience playing the game, so don’t be alarmed if you boot it up and don’t need to turn all the settings to Low for playable framerates–our artists would actually like if you could see their work! Because of this you will probably be able to actually run the game on a lower-than-minimum spec PC, but the quality and performance won’t quite be ideal.”

For the recommended specs, McCoy described them as allowing Titanfall 2 to be played with “details nearly maxed out [at] 1920×1080 resolution (2560×1440 is also very playable). There are also specs for what you need to reliably play the game at 4K and 60 FPS, which will be listed below.  Respawn also went the unusual route of sharing benchmarks for the game running on each of these setups; you can see those here.

You will be able to run the game at up to 144 FPS,. remap the controls, store your save and settings in the cloud, and enable or disable mouse acceleration. Respawn also shared the currently available graphics settings, which include a variety of v-sync and anti-aliasing options. as well as support for 21:9 aspect ratios.

Titanfall launches for PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on October 28th.
