Gwent Developers Challenges Players To Kill Their Servers

The development team behind the popular RPG series, The Witcher, has a new upcoming video game set to release soon. Known as Gwent, this is a card battling game that was made famous from their previously released The Witcher series. Now as the development team inches closer to the closed beta, they are setting out a challenge to their fanbase.

Developers CD Projekt Red is hosting a server stress test event later this month known as “Kill the Servers”. It seems that the developers are interested in seeing just how well their servers handle with gamers actively playing Gwent, but it doesn’t seem that this event will be open to everyone.

Instead, the event will require gamers to use a game code to access Gwent on September 23, from 8 AM to 12 PM PT, along with September 27, between 11 AM to 3 PM PT. Additionally, it seems that gamers will need a code for each day and it’s first-come, first-served basis.

Before you’re are even considered for the Gwent Kill the Servers stress test event, you’ll need to sign up for the closed beta that starts this October 25, 2016. From there, you will have to keep an eye on the Gwent game’s Facebook and Twitter social media pages.

While this event is for PC gamers only, the video game will also see a release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console platforms.
