In a galaxy far far away, there’s the potential for grand space adventure. But in these far off worlds, the anti-adventures also lie within. That’s the premise of Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, developed by Sundae Month and published by tinyBuild.
The game is about a girl whose job is to pick up the trash scattered around an alien bazaar. As you travel around this sci-fi landscape, you might come across something of value among the discarded goods. In cases like that, you could sell it off for some cash and scrape together the funds to buy something that isn’t garbage. Like food. One of the mechanics of the game is that you need to make sure you stay well-fed and don’t die of hunger. There’s countless places to explore and travel to, and you’ll meet many strange creatures and people during your collection rounds. The deeper you explore, the more you see the supernatural elements embedded throughout. Praying to the Nine Goddesses and buying ritual relics might help your character end up with better luck.
Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor is available now on Steam for PC and Mac. To learn more about the game, check out the developer’s website, Twitter, and Facebook.
