If you were hoping to dismember necromorphs using the Wii U's GamePad, then you might be waiting for a long time. Steve Papoutsis, executive producer of Dead Space 3, has confirmed on twitter that a Wii U port of the game is not in the hands right now.
Here's the tweet exchange in its entirety.
Of course, Papoutsis could also be covering it up to save one of EA's Wii U summer announcements from being outed, but if so, couldn't he just given a "no comment" or ignored the tweet completely?
If true, this is quite disheartening to see if you're a Nintendo fan; as the Dead Space franchise could use the Wii U's GamePad in rather interesting ways. Maybe as a sensor? Perhaps as a scanner to see if a person is a necromorph? The possibilities are endless at this point.
Who knows though? EA might just change their mind, right?
Dead Space 3 is scheduled for release in February 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
