Pokemon Go: How Much Candy Each Pokemon Earns as a Buddy

September 12, 2016 by Kris Kittie

Distances are 1 km, 3 km, and 5 km.

pkmn_buddies-1152x499Pokemon Go’s newly added Pokemon Buddy feature not only adds the ability for you to highlight one of your favorite Pokemon that you’ve caught by making them your “buddy”. In addition, doing so gives you some benefits as a trainer well.

By walking with that Pokemon you’ll be rewarded candy that can be used to evolve or power up that Pokemon or others in its species.

Different Pokemon have different values, requiring you to walk further in order to get the candy. No matter the Pokemon equipped, the required distance will only get you one candy.
