Halo 4 may not be out yet, but that isn't stopping Microsoft and 343 Industries from kicking off the development of the next game in the series.
The Halo studio has put out an ad on Microsoft's career website seeking an experienced Creative Director "to lead and deliver a groundbreaking new AAA entertainment experience set in the Halo universe."
Presumably, that game is Halo 5—which should come as no surprise given that 343 Industries and Microsoft already announced awhile back that Halo 4 would be the start of a new Halo trilogy. Granted, there's a good chance that the upcoming game could be an expansion—either a standalone or add-on—to Halo 4, which would require a Creative Director to lead its team as much as any full fledged sequel.
"This is an exciting and rare opportunity to impact the future of one of the industry's most successful franchises," reads the ad. "The Creative Director will be part of the core team that defines and drives the vision while providing a source of inspiration, leadership, creative focus, and most importantly, a guiding light for the project team."
It remains to be seen who will fill these very big shoes.
