If you're an Animal Crossing fan, like I am, you might have felt a little left out of E3 this year. I mean, Nintendo had THREE conferences and not even an iota of a second was spent on Animal Crossing 3DS. After the car fires died out and people stopped tearing their hair out in handfuls, we were left with a lot of questions. Questions that Kotaku had the balls to ask.
Reggie Fils-Aime told Kotaku, “Animal Crossing is a game that is in development.”
That’s really all they got. It’s in development. Is it still in development for the 3DS? Is Nintendo still working on it or have they hired a team of raccoons? For Nook’s sake, will we get another trailer before E3 2013? Who knows. That quote really doesn’t say much.
I understand Nintendo has quite a lot on their plate, and showed up to E3 with bells and whistles on, but Animal Crossing needs some love. It’s the missing puzzle piece of the 3DS library. With the Japanese version slated for a fall 2012 release, gamers need more reassurance than Reggie was able to give.
