It was just yesterday the grand reveal from Sony took place. The PlayStation Meeting event gave gamers the full reveal of their upcoming console lineup that being the newer PlayStation 4 standard edition with a slimmer chassis along with their latest updated console within the same generation, the PlayStation 4 Pro.
Now that has fully unveiled their consoles to the masses, which you can read up on fully through our post right here, Microsoft has started to fire some shots at the company. Microsoft’s senior director of product management and planning at Xbox, Albert Penello, spoke with IGN about how he thinks their upcoming Project Scorpio will compare with Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro.
According to Albert Penello, Microsoft will still hold true to their word on delivering gamers the most powerful console in the market, but we still are pretty much in the dark on what the console will come packed with.
“I believe that the difference between what we’re going to deliver with Scorpio from a performance perspective and PS4 Pro will be obvious to customers. I believe we have the best value this holiday, and I think we’re going to have the most powerful box next year.”
Those are some mighty strong statements to throw out there, but seeing how Sony has fully unveiled their latest PlayStation 4 Pro, Microsoft could be holding true to their word. We’re eager to hear more about Project Scorpio, but unfortunately, no new news has been given out just yet. Instead, Albert Penello rehashed previous statements on how past Xbox One video games and accessories will work for Project Scorpio right out of the box.
