Nintendo Reveals Link Action Figure by Figma

June 12, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Legend of Zelda’s Link has been turned into an action figure by Figma.

Nintendo is about as prolific as it gets when it comes to merchandising its franchises, rivaling only George Lucas and the Star Wars franchise.

Today, Nintendo unveiled the long-awaited Link action figure by Figma. The Link figurine is based on the most recent Legend of Zelda title, Skyward Sword. Made out of vinyl and featuring articulated joints, you can pose Link to your heart's desire.

It comes with multiple attachments, including a Master Sword and sheath, Hylian Shield, a spin attack effect, and two different facial expressions for Link—stoic and angry. The feet even come with double jointed ankles for elaborate poses.

The Link action figure is the second Nintendo franchise with which Figma has collaborated on, joining the maker's Metroid Prime-based figure of Samus.

Link will be available for preorder this coming October. Should the figures be successful, we can probably expect to see action figures of Ganon, Zelda, and a host of other Nintendo characters.
