EA has released an extended trailer for Medal of Honor Warfighter's E3 playthrough. While it's a given that a lot of bullets and explosions will be happening, it's also not a set piece-by-set piece affair that most people assumed it would be.
The trailer shows a Tier 1 mission in Somalia's pirate town. Warfighter is now using DICE's vaunted Frostbite 2 game engine, so it looks really good so far.
If you haven't played the 2010 Medal of Honor reboot, its story focused more on the realism of war and how it affects the soldiers involved. Yes, there were set pieces, but not as much as another famous miltiary franchise. While this might be a let-down for some, I particulary liked it as it shows that not every soldier is a superhero that can take on armies by themselves.
Hopefully, Warfighter will follow its footsteps and doesn't succumb to military FPS "peer pressure."
We'll know for sure what direction Danger Close chose once Medal of Honor Warfighter ships on October 23 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Will you be getting this or is it still another dose of Call of Duty for you this year?
