Studio Wildcard’s vast ARK: Survival Evolved game just got much larger. Today they revealed their new Scorched Earth expansion, throwing your character into a hot new land of sand where your primary goal is staying alive.
The expansion tosses you into a desert world with seven different biome areas in it. They all have their own distinct looks, with resources to collect as you explore the caves and ruins that dot the landscape. As you could see by the trailer, the most badass of these surprises is DRAGONS! Having the ability to fly around the map comes in handy as you search for water to survive, while avoiding the Death Worms that lurk beneath the ground. Over 50 new items are available to craft, and you’ll need these new outfits, structures, and tools to outlast the desert heat. Other weather experiences might come along to mix things up though – sand and electrical storms are forces to be reckoned with.
