Remember the Wii U title Yoshi’s Woolly World? According to the Nintendo Direct presentation today, the game is headed to the 3DS sometime in the near future. It’s mostly a direct port, but as you can see by the trailer, there’s a new twist to it.
Besides having all the stages from the Wii U version of the game, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World has exclusive levels where you play as Poochy. The levels shown off in the video center around bead collection, where you’ll need to time Poochy’s jumps and movements in order to get as many beads as possible. Poochy Pups are buddy characters that help Yoshi find secret areas in levels, adding an additional layer of gameplay. There’s also going to be a series of stop-motion shorts included in the game. This video series will explore the lives of Yoshi and Poochy, showing the misadventures they get themselves into. For Amiibo fans, Yarn Poochy is getting his own figure for you to collect.
Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World is coming to Nintendo 3DS on February 3rd, 2017.
