Horror returns to the gaming consoles as players are set to step back into the shoes of Isaac Clarke, who returns for a third entry into the Dead Space series.
With Dead Space 3 being set on an icy planet, Clarke must brave the snows in his high-tech suit of armor—now lined with fur to keep him from freezing to death on the planet that appears to be colder than space itself.
A newly released, and first ever official screenshot of the game depicts Isaac indoors with a futuristic assault rifle in hand. It appears to be equipped with a grenade launcher, and the ammo count of both the main weapon and its peripheral attachment can be seen hovering to the side in typical Dead Space fashion.
Dead Space 3 will be shown off at EA's upcoming presentation at E3, and is expected to be released sometime in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
