As anticipated sometime yesterday, the formal announcement of the new Dark Souls III expansion was imminent. Now the time has come to see what it’s all about. Today, we get the Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel announcement trailer.
The basic idea here is that you’ll get new weapons, armor, and magic to use as you explore this new snowy world in the Dark Souls III universe. Get your hands on some fantastic new ice spells, wield a flaming sword, and even a boomerang of light. The enemies you face will be a series of cold old-world forces of evil that have infested this tundra for too long. When it comes to the Ashes of Ariandel themselves, the trailer makes it seem like the main bad guy wants their power. For PVP players, a new map is expected to make it’s way into this expansion too.
