While we've already posted what Battlefield Premium will most likely contain, we still don't know when exactly it will be released and at what cost.
Well, lucky for Battlefield fans that it seems someone from Sony's European PlayStation Blog has itchy trigger fingers and posted the pertinent details online. The listing — which has since been pulled — states the price and date for both the Close Quarters expansion and Battlefield Premium.
You can see a screen-grab of the pulled listing below (courtesy of TheSixthAxis).
Keep in mind this date is for the PS3 only. If you don't remember, Sony and EA has a one-week timed exclusivity deal when it comes to Battlefield DLC. So for PC and Xbox 360 fans, expect your Close Quarters and Battlefield Premium a week later.
Now, before you all go ballistic at how high it is, keep in mind that this NOT the US price point. While chances are you can just convert it and assume that's it, I don't know, it seems kinda steep and knowing EA, I believe they won't price this service higher than what Activision's Call of Duty Elite's annual membership is. It's akin to FPS suicide if they do, no?
If indeed this is priced beyond $50, then EA might have just given its head to Activision on a plate — with a knife, fork and steak sauce, to boot!
Do you think this price — if it's the same for the US — a little too steep or just right considering you get four expansions with all the trimmings? Let us know in the comments.
