Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Release Date Revealed

May 30, 2012 by Mat Growcott

For a change in the gaming industry, the announced release period is actually correct.

While we'd previously been told that the Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection would release in June, we hadn't been given a specific date. Capcom have since revealed that you'll be able to pick up the Move-compatible on-rails shooter – which contains the Wii's Umbrella and Darkside Chronicles – will be available to pick up on June 26th.

You're also going to be able to buy the game digitally, with the two titles contained within it to be available separately at a later date. No word on digital pricing, but I suppose there's still a month to go until release.

Resident Evil: Chronicles HD allows you and a friend to battle your way through Resident Evil through to Code Veronica using either a standard PS3 controller or the Move. Both games have received a bit of a makeover and also have support for trophies. Both games were given a lot of praise at original release and it'll be interesting to see what people think of this new attempt at bringing the collection back to life.
