Velocity Working on US Vitas

May 30, 2012 by Mat Growcott

The PlayStation Mini rubbing shoulders with the likes of God Of War and Grand Theft Auto on the Metacritic PSP leaderboards is now available to play on the Vita in the States.

It's a mark of the games quality, I think, that so many Americans are eagerly waiting for the ability to play FuturLab's out-and-out Minis hit Velocity on their new PlayStation Vita. Thanks to some issues SCEA are having getting certain games running on the Vita, they've been forced to either play on the PSP or on the PS3. Well, no longer; while you still can't actually download Velocity to the Vita over there, you CAN transfer it from the PS3 and I suggest you do: it's the best version of the game.

Presumably, given that the game is working, there'll come a time in the not too distant future (I'm thinking perhaps next Tuesday) when you'll be able to download directly if you don't want to do it through the PS3. Either way, it IS one of the best games on the Vita and if that's the only PlayStation product you own, you'll soon be able to see why it's getting almost universal praise.
