Gamers will soon be able to try Battlefield 1 in the luxury of their home after EA DICE had officially unveiled the upcoming open beta launch. This open beta will begin later this month and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Get ready for a 64-player open beta non stop action coming towards Battlefield 1. The official open beta begins on August 31, 2016, but if you sign up for the Battlefield Insider program, then you’ll be able to enjoy the beta a few days earlier.
The details emerged online through the official Battlefield 1 website, where EA DICE had detailed what to expect in terms of gameplay.
There will be two game modes available within the one map, Sinai Desert, along with both war horses and an Armored Train present for gamers to use for their advantage. Likewise, there will be three playable classes within the beta, the Sentry, Flame Trooper, and Tank Hunter.
Game Modes
- Conquest. An all-time fan favorite of Battlefield players, Conquest is a large-scale game mode with up to 64 players fighting for the control of key objectives. With large armies on foot or behind the wheel and the addition of fearsome Behemoths, Conquest brings together all the elements of the signature Battlefield All-Out War.
- Rush. A 24-player mode where the Attacking force must find and destroy the Defending force’s Telegraph Posts, which can be used to call in artillery strikes. The Defenders can deny the Attackers their mission by disarming explosives they plant on the telegraph positions. Should the Telegraph Posts be destroyed, the Defenders must fall back to the next sector and protect the Telegraph Posts there.
Unfortunately, the blog posting did not state just when the open beta will end. Regardless, you can check out some new gameplay footage for Battlefield 1 thanks to the latest trailer reveal at this year’s Gamescom.
