The delightful folks over at CD Projekt have finally announced that Witcher 3: Wild Hunt‘s Game of the Year Edition is not only a thing, but that you can expect it at the end of August. Check out their announcement below.
It’s the final adventure of Geralt of Rivia, who gamers had previously journeyed with throughout the course of Witcher and Witcher 2. In this game, his main quest was to find his adopted daughter Ciri. Along the way, Geralt and the player are swept up in the political strife unfolding in Novigrad and the surrounding lands. 100 hours of gameplay, easily.
And that’s just the base game.
The Game of the Year Edition has the Hearts of Stone expansion, which tells the story of how Geralt deals with a powerful bandit captain. Then in Blood and Wine, Geralt travels to the region of Toussaint and investigates the supernatural terrors lurking within the land’s shadows. Stack on another 50 hours of gameplay with these expansions. On top of all that, the GOTY Edition has all the DLC and any update patch or improvement that was put out for the game ever.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Game of the Year Edition comes out on August 30th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. To keep in touch with CDProjekt’s projects (Gwent, Cyberpunk 2077), check out their website.
