Buckle your seat belts, because this upcoming game by Le Cartel Studio and Devolver Digital is a hardcore ride. Mother Russia Bleeds is an actually “edgy” title that earns the right to call itself that. What you’re about to see is a small preview of the gritty blood and ultra-violence that awaits you in this game.

The story behind this slaughter streak is that you (and your friends, optionally) are a gang of street fighters who live in the underbelly of an alternate U.S.S.R. This is the tale of you rising up against the corruption of authority and overcoming the odds. You have a substance addiction, which you can embrace in order to get a drug-fueled rage parade on the enemies you’ll fight. All in all, this is a co-op beat ’em up style gore fest. If that wasn’t enough for you, Survival Mode throws you in the deep end of the pool with waves of progressively difficult enemies across eight environments. Sometime after launch, a versus mode where you can face off against you friends is in the works. In addition, Le Cartel Studio has plans for a boss rush mode.
“Mother Russia Bleeds has everything the kids love these days like beating someone to death with a toilet during a prison riot and injecting drugs into your neck in order to punch off a gangster’s head,” stated Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker.
