Now Available: Heart&Slash

August 9, 2016 by Nick Monroe

PC gamers can finally play the title where you’re a robot escaping from an evil Mecha-Dystopia.

Heart&SlashHeader

From the development team over at the aheartfulofgames studio comes an action adventure indie game called Heart&Slash. It spent a decent amount of time in the Early Access section of development, which allowed aheartfulofgames to implement community feedback. This trailer shows off their rogue-lite project that was a few years in the making.

Set in a world where humans have long since vanished, one robot makes a last ditch effort to escape their ruthless and heartless machine brethren. This robot of Heart has to fight through three different worlds of QuAsSy (Quality Assurance Systems), where death is somewhat permanent. Every time you fail, you face a different randomly generated level and the equipment you find will vary. But the various weapons and armor that Heart can acquire will come in handy in order to deal with the enemy machines that stand in their way. According to their release announcement post, an Endless Dungeon mode will be added sometime in the near future, so be on the look out for that.

Heart&Slash is available now on Steam for PC (Mac, Linux). It already came out for Xbox One and PS4 if you haven’t played it yet. Keep in touch with the developers by following along at their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
