That’s right – you read the title correctly. After a few hires coming from Infinity Ward’s side of the fence, it appears that the company is looking to completely change its outward perspective from a community standpoint.
As I am sure many of you are aware, Robert Bowling left Infinity Ward earlier this year, on March 26th. Since then, the company has yet to find someone who meets the various criteria that makes an Infinity Ward community manager an Infinity Ward community manager.
Well, it looks like the company has found their knight-in-shining-armor: Tina Palacios. She’s the former community manager over at IGN.com, and shaped much of what we know IGN’s community to be.
Fine, we realize that there are a lot of trolls, but where don’t they exist?
In any case, Palacios saw a huge amount of success in bolstering IGN’s popularity across a number of social mediums, as well as getting the community involved on-site. It will be interesting to see what she does at Infinity Ward. God knows, a huge number of the people who play Call of Duty need moderation.
