Coming Soon: Rainbow Six Siege Skull Rain

The new Rainbow Six Siege map arrives on August 2nd.

2RainbowSixSiegeSkullRainReleaseHeaderThe latest Rainbow Six Siege free map DLC takes you on a mission deep in the belly of South America. While the map itself was revealed earlier, the rest of the new Operation’s content is showcased in the newest trailer.

This update adds two new operators – Caveira and Capitão. Capitão’s main weapon is a crossbow that fires deadly bolts and micro grenades. Caveira’s specialty is stealth, with a Silent Step ability that lets her get the jump on targets first. Along with them, are a series of new Skull Rain weapon skins that’ll help you blend in to this new environment. What’s also interesting is the “Health Program” focus of this update. Rainbow Six Siege online has ramped up their anti-cheat measures and made client-side improvements. Finally one of the most noticeable additions in this new DLC is the angled grip attachment. According to a top Rainbow Six player, here’s what this gun attachment will change for you in battle. “The angled grip accelerates the transition between hip fire and ADS, which allows for an aggressive and fast-paced playstyle. However, make sure to take into account that the angled grip is less stable in terms of recoil than the standard grip, so holding your angles might be tricky with this one.”

The full list of patch notes is here. It’s a recommended read, if there was a small tweak or fix you hoped made it in this round of patching.

The Favela map will be available for everyone tomorrow, with the new operators being available to anyone with a Season Pass. People who don’t have the pass will have to wait until August 9th in order to unlock the characters with Renown and R6 credits. Rainbow Six Siege is a game available on Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
