Doom: The Board Game Lets You Choose Demon or Marine

July 29, 2016 by Kris Kittie

Whether you choose demon or marine, you’re sure to become immersed!

The newest installation in the Doom franchise is a new board game developed by Fantasy Fight Games. The board game is described as a “tactical combat experience” and is made for two to five players.

You can either play as a demon or a marine. The gameplay style is asymmetric, so the play experience will be different for each character type.

If you choose to play as a marine, you’ll be tasked with completing objectives in a series of six missions. If you play as a demon, you’ll be attacking the marines and preventing them from completing the missions.

In order to make things interesting, marines only have a set number of times that they can respawn after death. However, the demons trying to stop the marines can respawn as many times as they’d like, creating an interesting scenario much like Battlefield’s Rush mode.

The Doom board game is due out later this year. Fantasy Fight games has a great rundown of the game and more of its specs on their website.
