GameStop is dropping their PSP catalog from 25% of their shops located in the U.S. The move is being made to maximize and make better use of the space and they will still continue to sell PSP titles in their larger stores and online at GameStop.com
Fans hate to hear it, but I've being saying for a couple of years now and I'll continue to do so: The PSP is a dead platform. It never had the support it needed and it's currently a bolder being carried on the backs of niche gamers. I love them as much as the next man, but no platform can survive on Atlus and XSEED games alone.
Sony's continued support of the platform is baffling even. They still have aspirations to sell PSPs? While the Vita flounders for dear life? Really?
This needs to be the last year the PSP is a thing, for Sony more so than anyone else. They need to let sleeping dogs lie and focus on the now; that's the Vita.
