Beyond Good & Evil 2: New Footage Surfaces, Looks Indian

May 11, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

New footage of Beyond Good & Evil 2 has surfaced, revealing a very Indian-like city.

A new video showcasing a prototype of Beyond Good & Evil 2 appears to have surfaced on the internet.

Pre-production of the game began in 2007 but nothing—apart from a video that was leaked in 2009—had come of it. Since then, it's been assumed that the game had been indefinitely postponed, but Michel Ancel, it's creator, has recently come out to say that the game is in fact in active development.

Today, the status of the game has gotten something of an update with the release of a protoype video of the game running on the Xbox 360. This "leak", which may well be intentional, may be a prelude to a surprise Ubisoft has for us at E3. We can only hope that it is the case, and that it isn't in fact an unintentional leak.

The new video contains in-game footage of Beyond Good & Evil, showcasing some of the game's very Indian-like locations. Brahmin cows roam throughout the rundown city. A Bollywood song plays in the background throughout the entire preview.
